Q: What kind of guitar lessons do you offer?

 

A: I specialize in metal guitar but also teach rock, acoustic, and classical guitar. Lessons can include technique, rhythm guitar, lead guitar, riffs, solos, improvisation, songwriting, composition, and music theory, depending on your goals.

Q: Are your lessons suitable for beginners?

A: Absolutely! Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced guitarist, I will tailor lessons to your skill level and goals.

Q: Do I need my own guitar for lessons?

​

A: Yes, you'll need your own guitar to practice and participate in lessons.

​

Q: Are in-person lessons available?

​

A: Yes. If you're located in the Greater Toronto Area, you can take in-person lessons with me through the music schools where I currently teach. See the Guitar Lessons page for more information.

Lesson Details

 

Q: How do online guitar lessons work?

​

A: Lessons are conducted via Microsoft Teams or Zoom (though I prefer Microsoft Teams). You'll receive personalized feedback, lesson plans, and materials to help you progress.

Q: How long are the lessons?

​

A: I offer 30 minute, 45 minute, and 1 hour lessons.

Q: What do I need for online guitar lessons?

​

A: You’ll need a stable internet connection, a guitar, an amp, a computer or tablet with a webcam and microphone, and a quite place to play.

​

Q: Can I record our lessons?

​

A: Yes! Recording lessons is a great way to review what you've learned. Just let me know ahead of time.

​

Q: What if I miss a lesson? What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

​

A: I require at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson. Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice are not eligible for a refund or rescheduling.

A: You'll develop technical skills, creativity, music theory knowledge, and confidence in your guitar playing. I’ll also help you unlock your full potential and achieve your musical goals.

Q: How long will it take to see progress?

A: Progress depends on your practice habits and having clear goals. Many students see noticeable improvements within a few weeks with consistent practice.

Q: Do you help with songwriting and composition?

​

A: Yes! I provide exercises and guidance to enhance your creativity and help you compose your own music.

Q: How much do lessons cost?

A: My lesson prices are as follows:

 

• 30-minute lesson — $35 CAD
• 45-minute lesson — $52.50 CAD
• 60-minute lesson — $70 CAD

 

All prices are in Canadian dollars.

A: PayPal, Interac e-Transfer, and directly through my website.

A: No. While I can teach standard notation, many students learn using tablature, diagrams, ear training, and practical demonstrations. Lessons are adapted to your learning style and goals.

A: Yes. I'll provide exercises, songs, notes, or other materials as needed to help you practice effectively between lessons. Every lesson will end with practice tasks for the next lesson.
